Though the then Cleveland Indians may have tried to treat their fans to cheap drinks on Ten Cent Beer Night in June, 1974, they quickly discovered the road to Hades is paved with good intentions.
The evening quickly descended into chaos, replete with a riot, a streaker, and players using their bats as weapons. When all was said and done, nine people were arrested & many more injured.
From stadium showdowns to dugout takeovers, here is the insane story of the Ten Cent Beer Game as told in 20 photos.
